Coach Ben Huth Joins BC United

BC United is honored to announce that Ben Huth, Head Coach of Riverside High School Boys' Soccer has joined the BC United Coaching Staff.  Coach Huth adds two decades of high-level coaching experience to the staff, including 17 years and 290 matches as Head Coach of Riverside High School.

During his tenure at Riverside, Huth has appeared in the playoffs ten times, compiling a record of 156 wins 17 draws 119 losses.  In 2012, Huth's Riverside Boys won the WPIAL Championship, becoming the first public school in WPIAL history to win the 1A title.

Coming off of a gold medal in Sandusky this fall, Coach Huth will lead the 2009 Boys squad through the winter and spring seasons, preparing the boys as they are set to join the GLA for the 2023-24 season.

Coach Huth said, "I have been with BC since it’s inception and have seen this team’s progress through the seasons. Helping with the 2009 Boys has been a true joy, and now heading the team and working with them to reach their full potential is even more rewarding. I look forward to sharing my experience with this group of fine young men. Pushing them to be their best, encouraging them through their struggles, and enjoying all of the moments with them."

Director of Soccer Marcus Burrows said, "To coach a small school to such great heights is meaningful in and of itself.  But to see Coach Huth dedicated to the development of younger players as young men is gratifying.  The 2009 Boys will flourish under his guidance."
