Ernesto Castaneda Joins BC United as Boys Director

BC United is excited to announce the addition of Ernesto Castaneda to our coaching staff.  Ernesto will serve as our Boys Director, focusing on developing strong sides during all phases of play.

Ernesto holds his UEFA A (Spain) and a Masters in Sports Studies, as well as a Technical Director degree.  He joins BC United as the first-ever UEFA A-licensed coach at the Club.  His background includes coaching at Boca Juniors (Argentina) and Liverpool Academies, with stops at Academies in Spain and Mexico.

Coach Castaneda looks forward to working with the existing coaching staff stating, "BC United has a very deep bench of Assistant Coaches who will help to integrate our game model and continue the already-high level of instruction to the players."

While his ultimate responsibility lies with managing the entire boys side of the program, Ernesto will also coach multiple teams, adhering to BC United's principles that the highest-licensed coaches must continually interact with the players, top to bottom.

Ernesto's strong beliefs in the strength of community soccer aligns with BC United's recreational partner approach: "Community soccer is the backbone of youth soccer, and I will ensure that our community partners reach their goals."
